This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions that govern refund requests and cancellations for our software services. We have designed this policy to be transparent, fair, and to maintain trust in our relationship with you—our valued customer.
By subscribing to or using any of the Edu Valley services, you agree to be bound by this Cancellation and Refund Policy. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase or subscription.
This policy applies to:
School/college ERP software services
Annual or monthly subscriptions
One-time software purchases (e.g., offline version)
Cloud-based educational software packages
Setup, onboarding, and training services related to software
It does not apply to:
Custom software development projects
Third-party plugins, integrations, or tools purchased via Edu Valley
Domain/hosting charges
Physical goods (if any) such as books or hardware
Edu Valley offers a 7-day refund policy from the date of purchase or subscription. Within this window, you may be eligible for a refund under the following conditions:
You have encountered significant technical issues in the software that remain unresolved after our support team intervention.
You mistakenly purchased a wrong plan or product and reported it within 7 days.
You canceled the software service within 7 days due to dissatisfaction and no substantial usage.
You have not violated our Terms of Service or attempted to misuse the software.
Some services and features are non-refundable, including but not limited to:
Setup or installation charges
Customization services
Data migration or onboarding services
Charges for training and consultation
Third-party integrations or licenses
Services availed beyond 7 days from the date of activation
These charges involve manual work and resource allocation and thus are not covered under our refund policy.
Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to care@eduvalley.org with clear information including:
Full Name and School/College Name
Email address and phone number used during purchase
Reason for cancellation
Software subscription plan or invoice ID
You may cancel:
Monthly subscriptions at any time, effective at the end of the billing cycle
Annual subscriptions within 7 days of purchase to receive a refund
One-time purchases within 7 days if applicable and unused
Cancellations made after 7 days from activation date are not eligible for a refund under this policy.
Upon receiving a valid refund request:
Our team will acknowledge your email within 2 business days.
We may contact you for further clarification or request technical logs/screenshots.
Once approved, the refund process will begin within 5 to 7 business days.
Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method (bank account, UPI, or card).
You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been issued.
Total processing time can take 7–10 business days depending on your bank/payment provider.
Edu Valley does not offer prorated refunds for:
Services used partially during the refund window
Subscriptions canceled mid-cycle after the 7-day period
Users who fail to utilize or access the platform after purchase
Refunds are full or none based on the above eligibility and time frame.
Initiating a chargeback through your payment provider without contacting us first will be treated as a violation of this policy. We urge customers to reach out for a resolution before escalating through banks or payment platforms.
If a chargeback is initiated without due process:
Your account may be suspended permanently
Any pending services or custom development may be terminated
Legal steps may be taken if the chargeback is proven fraudulent
After successful cancellation:
Your login credentials will be deactivated
Access to the cloud dashboard and database will be revoked
Data backup (if opted) can be requested within 7 days post-cancellation
If cancellation is due to refund, services are considered void
In certain rare cases, we may grant a refund outside the 7-day window, such as:
Service outage for more than 72 hours
Duplicate or accidental billing
Failed onboarding due to technical error on our part
Legal or health emergencies for clients (on documentary proof)
These are handled on a case-by-case basis at Edu Valley’s sole discretion.
Refunds will not be provided in the following scenarios:
You simply changed your mind after purchasing
You did not understand or read the product description or demo
You failed to use the software or delayed implementation
Issues arise due to misuse or unauthorized modification of software
Breach of terms or fraudulent activity linked to your account
You purchased the software for a different institution without notice
Before requesting a cancellation or refund, the customer is expected to:
Test the demo (if provided)
Ensure compatibility with their system/network
Use the software as intended
Report any technical issue to our support team
Allow at least 48 hours for issue resolution
Failure to cooperate or misuse the platform may result in rejection of the refund request.
If you downgrade from a higher plan to a lower plan within 7 days, a partial refund may be applicable.
If you upgrade after an initial plan, only the difference in pricing will be charged. Refunds will not apply to prior invoices under the old plan.
All refunds are issued only to the original customer and cannot be transferred to another user, institution, or entity. Refunds in the form of credit notes (Edu Valley credits) may be issued in special cases, valid for 3 months.
This policy is governed by the laws of Assam, India. Any disputes arising out of this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Barpeta District Court.
Edu Valley reserves the right to update, modify, or revise this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Users will be notified via email or on our website. Continued usage after any changes will imply acceptance of the new policy terms.
